The Flower Parade: a colourful spectacle full of flowers

With 12 floats, three music floats and about 40 other vehicles richly decorated with flowers, the Flower Parade is an unforgettable feast for the eyes and ears. This annual parade, which has been taking place for more than 75 years, passes through the streets of Rijnsburg, Katwijk and Noordwijk every second Saturday in August .

The event is known for its colourful and impressive floats, accompanied by around 100 extras, which together form a moving theatre. Along the entire route, spectators can enjoy this spectacular flower parade, which is a true celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, for free.

Opening show and exhibition

The festivities start on Friday evening with a grand opening show at the flower auction in Rijnsburg. Here, visitors will get an exclusive first look at the beautifully decorated floats. On Sunday, the floats will be displayed on the Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard in Noordwijk, where you can admire the works of art up close and appreciate the details of the floral decorations.
