Steam Train Museum: Experience the Nostalgia of Historic Trains

At Stoomtrein Katwijk Leiden , it seems as if time has stood still.

As soon as you enter the authentic station building, you step back in time. You walk up to the ticket office and buy an old-fashioned train ticket, as if you were at the beginning of the last century.

On the platform, the almost 100-year-old steam locomotive is waiting for you, ready to take you for a wonderful ride along the Valkenburg Lake. The puffing sound of the steam train and the smell of coal bring the nostalgia of the old railways to life.

After the steam train ride, you will be taken in the cosy ‘bank train’ to the indoor museum.
