New Year's dive Noordwijk

Tower climbing Jeroen Church
The tower of the Oude Jeroenskerk is also open to visitors this year - in its 14th season - every Saturday until 21 September. It's quite a climb, as the tower has 110 steps, is 40 metres high and the walls are 2 metres thick. Once at the top, you have a great view of Noordwijk, the surrounding area and the North Sea. During the climb, a guide will tell you all sorts of interesting facts about the history of the church, the clockwork and the bells.
Buttonpop
Buttonpop is an entertaining tribute festival in the Netherlands that takes place against the picturesque backdrop of the Keukenhof in Lisse. Only the very best tribute bands in Europe are present. At Buttonpop you will find everything your heart desires: great acts, a unique and relaxed atmosphere, accessible entry, a beautiful and wooded setting and delicious (partly internationally orientated) food and drinks.
This year's Buttonpop will take place on 24 May 2025.
Atlantikwall bunker tours
The Atlantikwall Museum Noordwijk consists of a series of bunkers from the Second World War.
Here you can get an idea of life in the bunkers during the war and learn how the European coast was turned into a fortress by the Germans.
Every day that the museum is open, you can take a guided tour with one of our enthusiastic volunteers. The guide will take you through the museum bunker and tell you all sorts of details about the bunker or interesting artefacts in the collection. Great fun and educational for children too!
Ibiza Festival
Come and enjoy shopping at the Ibiza Market in Noordwijk. At the Ibiza Festival on Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard, you will find stalls filled with jewellery, bags, home accessories, fashion and handmade products, among others.
The Ibiza festival will take place on: 14. & 15. June 2025
Air cushion festival Voorhout
Let off steam, jump, play and climb on the bouncy castles, obstacle courses and many other attractions at the air cushion festival in Voorhout. The bouncy castle festival will take place this year on Sunday 1 June 2025.
Market under the Linden 2025
Visit the "Markt onder Linden" in Noordwijk. At this cosy market you will find plants, a variety of garden products, delicacies and live music. You will also find inspiring art exhibitions and open gardens.
This year, the Market under the Linden will take place on 14 and 15 June.
Skipper days
The entire second weekend in September is dedicated to the Warmond Skippers' Days. The municipal harbour in Warmond is once again transformed into a large nautical domain.
Tugs, back deckers, push boats, steamers and many other traditional vessels fill the harbour. The harbour area includes a marquee with terrace, 30 nautical market stalls, the ‘classic ship engines’ section and various old vehicles. Several sailor and shanty choirs can also be heard on this day.
Would you like to sail along yourself? You can! Then go on board the steam tugboat ‘Eagle.’
Sunset walk
With this walking event, the Brain Foundation is raising awareness and understanding for all those who have to live with the effects of a brain disorder and its often invisible consequences on a daily basis.
Walk from the Vuurtoren in Noordwijk through the dunes and over the beach on 5 July. Choose between 3.5, 5 or 10 kilometres and run individually or together in a team with friends, family or colleagues. The 3.5 km route is suitable for wheelchair users and therefore does not run through the dunes and over the beach. Of course, you will receive your Sunset Walk medal at the finish!
With your participation, the Brain Foundation can fund research and projects so that people with brain disorders can have a better quality of life and participate in society.
Castlefest Fantasy Festival
Dive into another world at the Dutch fantasy festival Castlefest. At the beginning of August, Keukenhof Castle Park will be transformed into a festival for young and old. Castlefest is a complete experience with lots of music, fantasy authors, delicious catering, medieval crafts and a large market with everything that makes the fantasy heart beat faster.
Castlefest will take place from 1 August to 4 August 2024 at Keukenhof Castle in Lisse, the Netherlands.
Katwijk tourist market
On Tuesdays between the end of June and the end of August 2024 in summer, Katwijk aan Zee hosts a large tourist bulb market. More than 120 stalls with the best (regional) products are set up in the cosy centre. Each week has a different theme.
Hillegoms Music Festival 2025
The music festival in Hillegom is the biggest music festival in the region with a great line-up of Dutch artists.
The music festival takes place this year on 28 June.
Castle world Teylingen
Historical Medieval Battle, or Buhurt, is a young full-contact combat sport based on the tournament rules of the Middle Ages.
A medieval event centred around a full-contact sword fighting tournament on Saturday. These are 1:1 fights in medieval armour in the form of a triathlon. This means 3 different disciplines per duel.
The fights are not predetermined, it is an official competition.
Specially trained referees ensure that the fight is conducted properly. Fancy watching it live? You can, on 20 July 2024 & 21 July 2024.
Loungefest
On 18 July & 19 July, the annual Loungefest will once again take place at Comomeer in Noordwijkerhout. Various bands will provide pure entertainment and lots of fun on three fixed stages.
Circe des Dunes & Lasershow
On Saturday 13 July and 3 August, both from 19:00, around 12 acts will perform around the dunes in Noordwijk aan Zee. The programme offers spectacular entertainment for young and old. From exciting fire acts to spectacular aerial acts. During the festival, the performers will use technology, clothing and props to make their performances a real spectacle.
Beforehand, from around 18:30, a samba band will put you in the right mood with their lively music. The festival ends on 13 July with a breathtaking laser show and on 3 August with a fantastic fireworks display that can be seen from the beach at around 11.15 pm.
Night of Sassem
On Friday 29 August 2025, the Night of Sassem will take place in the centre of Sassenheim! From 13:00 to 21:00 there are many different market stalls on the Braderie where you can walk around and discover all kinds of things. From 21:00 you can party at the "Feest op de Ouden Haven".
Open Monuments Day
Every year on the second weekend in September, many of the beautiful monuments in the Netherlands are open to everyone free of charge. This year's theme is ‘Routes, networks and connections.’
Open Monumentendag 2025 will take place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September.
